FAVOURITE PLACES
Favourite Places invites artists to play a part in a dynamic audio diary. Featuring places that are close to your
sense of being; field recordings, compositional interpretations and digital images will be lovingly brought
together. The aim is to foster a creative interpretation that represents the interaction between external and
internal realities.

Series one of Favourite Places is now complete. Featuring tracks from Leafcutter John, Taylor Deupree, RF,
Biosphere & more.... There is also an interactive website designed to compliment the release.

We are now in the process of inviting artists to particpate in Series 2 (release schedule for 2008).
PROJECT RATIONALE
There are places in this world we return to time after time because they hold something precious that nurtures
us. Favourite Places is about sharing a bit of what you have found with others. Your task is to make field
recordings capturing the essence of the place and then to create an audio composition designed to portray
your subjective reaction to the place.

The bringing together of both the field and compositional recordings will be a way of documenting the
existence of these places and their importance within our lives.

It is hoped that the pieces will inspire the audience to become increasingly active listeners whilst
experiencing their own favourite places.

The world is always changing for better and for worse - but amongst this movement let us capture something
beautiful together.
